Bayern Munich turns its attention from the UEFA Women’s Champions League to the DFB-Pokal. The German champions host Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16 on Sunday having come off a 2-2 fight back to draw Real Madrid midweek.
Sarah Zadrazil, Lena Oberdorf, and Giulia Gwinn will be unavailable for selection. Bayern coach José Barcala said in his match preview (via FCBayern.com). “We need to be quick and clever in particular when passing the ball back, because they quickly take advantage of mistakes to attack.
So we need to focus on build-up and ensure we shore things up after losing the ball. We also need to be alert at set pieces.
