Borussia Dortmund have beaten Werder Bremen to advance to the next round of the DFB Pokal. I am not going to sugar-coat it—that was a horrible performance by my standards.
For anyone who would like to ride the high of Marcel Sabitzer’s stunning goal to win the game, or the decent football Dortmund played in the first half, I will not stop you.
By all means, those things are both good. But for Borussia Dortmund to fumble a 2-0 lead to Werder Bremen twice in one month is just inexcusable, partly from the perspective of the players, but mostly from the perspective of the coach.
