From the source
Nobody in history has played more Women’s Super League football than Tottenham Hotspur captain Drew Spence. On Sunday afternoon, she led the Lilywhites out at Birmingham City for her 217th game in England’s top flight.
That start moved her past former Chelsea defender Millie Bright, who had played 216 games. After drawing level last weekend, Spence now holds the record by herself.
Even better, her teammates marked the big day by ending their three-game league losing run in style. Julie Blakstad, Olivia Holdt, Signe Gaupset, and Victoria Pelova all scored as the Spurs beat Birmingham 4-1 at St.
