Bayern Munich considered signing Luka Vuskovic last summer but decided against it, according to FCBinside, citing Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg. The club had behind-the-scenes talks with Vuskovic's camp and considered him a serious transfer target. However, they ultimately chose not to pursue the transfer due to their existing center back lineup, which included Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, and Minjae Kim. Vuskovic was eventually signed by Brighton & Hove Albion for over 50 million euros.
Vuskovic has since established himself as a key player for Brighton, and his market value has increased significantly. A transfer to Bayern now would be much more expensive, with estimates suggesting it could cost 70-90 million euros. Plettenberg noted that Bayern probably should have signed Vuskovic last summer, as a transfer now seems highly unlikely due to the high cost. The club's decision-makers have put their faith in their existing center backs, making Vuskovic a less likely candidate for the time being.
Bayern had previously been in talks with Vuskovic's camp during his loan stint at Hamburger SV, and continued to monitor his development. However, they let opportunities to sign him slip by, first in 2023 under more favorable terms, and again last summer. According to Plettenberg, it is unlikely that Bayern will pursue Vuskovic in the short term, given the significant increase in his market value.

FC Bayern apparently had the chance to sign Luka Vuskovic last summer. According to Sky, the Croatian center back—who now plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League—was a serious topic of discussion at Säbener Straße. “They felt out the situation over the summer; there were behind-the-scenes talks, and it would have been possible,” explained Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg. However, the Munich club deliberately decided against making a move.
