Bayern Munich, even amidst an injury crisis, showed who they really are. Bayern faced Atlético Madrid away in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
There was plenty of doubt regarding whether the Bavarians could hold their own in such a hostile environment, especially considering how many crucial players they had lost to injury.
Der Klassiker—the most important domestic game of the season—was a bloodbath to say the least, resulting in four injuries and a match that somehow ended in a draw even though the Bavarians were poised to win.
