From the source

Bayern Munich came away from Madrid with a superb 2-0 Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid, and the statistics show just how impressive the performance was.

Vincent Kompany’s side did not simply get the job done on the scoreboard; they also dominated the key attacking and possession metrics. Bayern finished with 58% possession compared to Atlético’s 42% and turned that control into a significant attacking advantage.

The visitors registered 19 total shots—more than twice Atlético’s nine—while putting five on target compared to the hosts’ three. The expected goals (xG) numbers were particularly impressive.
