From the source
I’m absolutely furious with what I watched in Istanbul last night. Liverpool went ahead twice against Fenerbahce and somehow managed to lose 3-2. We had opportunities to control that game, to put it beyond our opponents, and instead we repeatedly handed them a route back into it.
That’s the word I used immediately afterwards, and I stand by it. But the defeat has also reinforced something I’ve been increasingly concerned about this season.
I don’t think Liverpool should offer Virgil van Dijk or Alisson Becker new contracts. That’s a difficult thing for me to say because we’re talking about two of the greatest players I’ve ever seen representing this football club.
