From the source

There are nights when a cup tie tells you more about a dressing room than ninety minutes of football ever could, and Liverpool’s penalty shootout win over Chelsea at Anfield was exactly that kind of night.

Joe Gomez stepped up calmly for the sixth kick, Wesley Fofana blazed his effort for Chelsea, and the Reds were through to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on the back of a 6-5 shootout after a 1-1 draw.

What stood out afterward, though, was not the celebration itself but how Gomez chose to explain it. Gomez did not reach for the usual cliches about taking it kick by kick.
