From the source

Everybody wanted to talk about Rio Ngumoha after Liverpool’s win over Chelsea, and fair enough. He was lively, direct and a constant threat down the left before fading after the break.

But if we are being honest about what actually decided the midfield battle, the bigger story belonged to Trey Nyoni, and we think it is being undersold.

Academy talent gets talked up constantly at this club, sometimes before it has earned the right. What he produced against Chelsea was not a flashy cameo, it was a genuinely mature midfield display, full of control, tempo and the kind of defensive discipline that usually takes senior players years to learn.
