Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke offered an update on Manchester City and their pursuit of Nottingham Forest talent James McAtee next year.

“I think the key for McAtee right now is that he’s playing regularly and performing well. I’m not sure he’d be overly keen to go back to Manchester City, where he might find himself being a squad player.

“He came through the ranks at City, and I’m sure the club still holds a special place in his heart, but he wants to continue building on what he’s done so far this season at Forest.
