Luka Vuskovic has quickly become one of the most sought-after young defenders across Europe, just a few months on from leaving Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs fans were drooling at Vuskovic’s performances on loan at Hamburg last term, and the expectation was that he would be a starter for the Lilywhites this season.
However, Roberto De Zerbi’s side decided to sell the 19-year-old to Brighton for £50m in the summer, and replace him with Jan Paul van Hecke, who the Tottenham boss previously worked with at the Seagulls.
That fee already looks a bargain for Brighton, with reports indicating over recent weeks that Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all plotting moves for Vuskovic after his brilliant start to life in the Premier League.
