Juventus will stay together in a training retreat at the JTC Continassa from Friday 30 October until Sunday's game against Napoli, after a blunt meeting between Giovanni Carnevali, the players and Luciano Spalletti.
That home fixture is now widely seen as decisive for the coach's future and the direction of the season. A direct meeting with chief executive Giovanni Carnevali has put the Juventus players and their coach under heavy pressure before Napoli’s visit.
The trigger was the loss in Genoa. Kingsley Ehizibue struck in the 12th minute, and Tommaso Baldanzi added a second in the 28th. Spalletti apologised to the supporters afterwards.
