Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, as per TEAMtalk. Since moving to Anfield from Southampton, Virgil Van Dijk has been an undisputed starter at left centre-back.
He has enjoyed great success over the years, winning two Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy and several other major cup competitions. However, the 35-year-old is in the twilight of his career and has entered the final months of his current contract.
Apart from the Dutchman, Liverpool currently have Joe Gomez, Ronald Araujo, Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet as centre-back options. Leoni has been out injured for more than a year, while Araujo has mainly featured as a right-back this season.
