Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian played big roles in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. Palmer doubled Chelsea’s lead from the penalty spot after Morgan Rogers had put Xabi Alonso’s side in front shortly after the restart.
Estevao failed to get his name on the scoresheet, but the winger still put in a very bright display. After the game, Alonso praised Estevao, who had two goals disallowed for offside.
Plenty of Chelsea supporters were clamouring for the 19-year-old to start, and they finally had their wish granted at lunchtime. Palmer was also impressed with Estevao’s performance and reminded his manager of how much the Chelsea dressing room adores the young Brazilian.
