Story updated
The story in brief
34-second readReal Madrid’s fans came together to showcase their collective support for under-fire attacking star Vinícius Jr. on Saturday evening. This of course comes after the Brazilian almost cost his side dear in their return to action following the international break.
José Mourinho’s men kicked their campaign back into gear last night, welcoming Villarreal to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash. When all was said and done, Los Blancos secured a much-needed return to winning ways, courtesy of a solitary strike on the part of summer signing Yan Diomandé.
The aforementioned Vinícius Jr, however, endured an evening to forget from an individual standpoint. Introduced off the bench, the 26-year-old appeared to have put Real Madrid out of sight in finding the net 20 minutes from time.
