Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson has mixed emotions about the ‘Standards’ banner that returned to the Stretford End last week. It is a reminder that the current team are not representing the shirt as they should.

Manchester United fans in the Stretford End unfurled a large banner demanding higher standards during an abysmal 3-0 home defeat against Bournemouth. The same fans rallied behind head coach Michael Carrick, while directing their frustration at the players and ownership.

The banner in question features the faces of three iconic United players who knew what it meant to play for the club: Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and Bryan Robson.
