FC Bayern made a strong statement in the DFB Cup. With a commanding 6-1 victory over 1. FC Magdeburg, the record German champions secured their spot in the next round.
Despite the lopsided score, however, the match was not a walk in the park for Munich from the start. Tom Bischof confirmed this after the final whistle.
In an interview with ARD, the 21-year-old midfielder expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance. At the same time, he made it clear that Bayern had by no means underestimated the second-division side.
