Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski named in Sweden squad for the first time in two years
Story updated
The story in brief
5-second readTottenham star Dejan Kulusevski made his first appearance of the campaign in the 3-1 win over Coventry City.

From the source
Dejan Kulusevski ended an 18-month absence with a cameo off the bench in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win over Coventry City and followed it with substitute appearances against Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
It continued a remarkable return for the 26-year-old, who suffered a patella injury in his right knee in a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace in May 2025.
At the time, the expectation was that he would return much sooner, but the injury proved far more complicated than anyone had anticipated. As such, the midfielder feared his career would be over after multiple setbacks sidelined him for the entirety of last season.
