From the source
Manchester United have made an enquiry over Atletico Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios, with TeamTalk reporting that the Premier League club are among several major European sides tracking his situation ahead of future transfer windows.
The 23-year-old has developed into one of the most closely watched midfielders in Europe and, according to the report, United’s interest is currently at an early point.
It is described as being “at an exploratory stage, with no formal negotiations underway”, which fits the wider picture of a club assessing multiple midfield options before taking any firm action.
