Story updated
The story in brief
5-second readHSV and Eintracht Frankfurt go head-to-head in an all-Bundesliga second round DFB-Pokal clash.
From the source
HSV and Eintracht Frankfurt will meet twice in the space of five days, with a DFB-Pokal Round of 16 spot at stake in their first clash.
Merlin Polzin's side saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday with a lackluster performance in Paderborn. To make matters worse, their loanee Rayan Philippe scored the only goal of the game a couple of minutes before the end of regular time.
They will now return to Volksparkstadion, where they beat Köln and Stuttgart in their most recent fixtures. HSV were knocked out of the cup at this stage in two of the last four seasons.
