Hamburger SV were hit by a double injury blow in their 1-0 defeat to SC Paderborn in the Bundesliga over the weekend. The German top-flight side announced on Monday that Fabio Vieira and Bilal Nadir both sustained thigh muscle injuries during the game.
As a result, both players will be out for “the coming weeks”, with Nadir expected to be sidelined for longer than Vieira after also being diagnosed with tendon involvement.
HSV continue their campaign with back-to-back games against Eintracht Frankfurt, first in the DFB-Pokal at home on Tuesday before travelling away in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
