Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has this week provided an insight into his midfield plans, which will go down a treat with the majority of the club’s fanbase.
This comes courtesy of confirmation that the Portuguese intends to ‘combine qualities’ in his pivot pairing. Real Madrid are of course fresh off their most impressive victory of the season to date, having put Hansi Flick’s rampant Barcelona to the sword at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Los Blancos’ deep-lying midfield pairing consisted of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Bernardo Silva, a duo which worked to superb effect in and out of possession alike.
