Gary Neville was full of praise for Arsenal’s defensive performance after Mikel Arteta’s side secured a historic 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday evening.
Kai Havertz’s 16th-minute goal proved decisive as the Gunners ended their 14-year wait for a Premier League victory at Liverpool’s ground, moving three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
But while Havertz will deservedly take the headlines for his winning goal, it was Arsenal’s collective defensive display that particularly impressed the former Manchester United defender.
