From the source

Tottenham are closely monitoring Villarreal right-back Alex Freeman as they prepare for the possibility of future movement around Pedro Porro, according to TEAMtalk. The 22-year-old has quickly become one of the more highly regarded young full-backs in LaLiga, and his development is understood to have made a strong impression on Spurs’ recruitment team.

Freeman’s name is gathering momentum in scouting circles for good reason. Since leaving Orlando City for Villarreal in January, the American has adapted quickly to Spanish football and elevated his standing at senior level.

His progress earned him a first United States call-up in March, and he went on to feature in all five of his country’s World Cup matches, adding a goal against Australia along the way.
