Philippe sinks his parent club as Paderborn end HSV's streak
Story updated
The story in brief
5-second readPaderborn secured their second win of the season with Rayan Philippe's late strike against HSV.
From the source
Paderborn eased their relegation woes by ending Hamburger SV's three-game winning streak with a goal from the player they loaned from their guests. Stuttgart loanee Laurin Ulrich had the first chance of the game inside two minutes.
The visitors failed to clear Raphael Obermaier's free-kick, and the Germany U21 international nearly scored from 18 meters. HSV then dealt a blow as Fabio Vieira had to be substituted off for what seemed like a hamstring injury.
The youngster Otto Stange replaced the Portuguese midfielder, who is yet to produce a direct goal contribution since joining the club on a permanent transfer.
