From the source

Amid a serious injury crisis at the back and a few poor goals conceded in the high-profile losses to PSG and Real Madrid last week, Barcelona have decided to go into the market and search for a top-level center-back in the January transfer window.

Barça have significant funds available after their failed pursuit of Julián Álvarez, and according to Mundo Deportivo the club have identified four players as their main targets for the winter.

Josko Gvardiol is the dream signing, but he just signed a new contract and would likely only consider leaving Manchester City if the Sky Blues are relegated from the Premier League as punishment for their guilty verdict over Financial Fair Play breaches.
