The board at La Liga giants Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the development of Brighton & Hove Albion star Bart Verbruggen. This comes with a view to a potential future offer for the talented shot-stopper.

Verbruggen has for his part taken his place centre stage in the English media headlines across the day to date. This comes after the Dutchman conjured up a world-class performance to hold Manchester City at bay in a 1-0 Brighton triumph at The Etihad.

Verbruggen has long emerged as one of the standout goalkeepers in the Premier League, tipped for a long and bright future at the very top level of the game.
