Reports in France claim Didier Deschamps is under consideration at Manchester United if they do decide to sack Michael Carrick. Although Manchester United pledged to give Michael Carrick more time to turn things around, uncertainty still exists over the 45-year-old’s future at Old Trafford.

Since the last vote of ‘confidence’, the Reds lost to Chelsea and beat Roma in the Champions League. The 3-2 comeback victory over Roma was United’s first win in nine matches across all competitions.

That explains why Carrick’s side are hovering just above the relegation zone (17th) in the Premier League after nine matches. All eyes are on United now to see if they can make it back-to-back wins when they host Aston Villa on Sunday.
