From the source

Bayern Munich hosted FC Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal a little tired, a little banged up, and still without its head coach. Nothing like a little adversity to bring the boys together, eh?

The Bavarians smashed FC Magdeburg 6-1 in a convincing victory that even left the visitors impressed. There were not many surprises in the starting XI.

Harry Kane getting some rest was not a shock. Perhaps the biggest eyebrow-raisers were the inclusion of Hiroki Itō and the exclusion of Alphonso Davies.
