Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United defender Tarik Muharemovic, as per TEAMtalk. Following Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo’s arrival this summer, the Reds currently have the duo plus Giovanni Leoni, Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk as centre-back options.

However, Leoni has been sidelined due to a serious knee issue for more than a year. On the other hand, Araujo has joined on loan from Barcelona and has mainly featured as a right-back under Andoni Iraola.

Gomez and Van Dijk, meanwhile, have entered the final few months of their respective contracts. The Englishman has had numerous fitness problems in recent years, while the Dutchman has reached the twilight of his career.
