Manchester United's Youri Tielemans expressed support for Michael Carrick amid speculation about his future as manager, stating the players are behind him and do not want a sudden change. Tielemans signed for United in the summer partly because of Carrick. The club has been experiencing a winless run, extending to eight matches after a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth. Carrick has been given more time to improve the team's form.

Tielemans emphasized the need for stability, stating that the players need to keep working hard and that results will turn around eventually. He praised Carrick's efforts to establish a system the team feels comfortable with. The next challenge for United is a trip to Chelsea, with fans expecting more effort from the players. Ineos has given Carrick more time to address the team's issues.

While Tielemans defended Carrick, he also acknowledged that some players have spoken out against the manager, citing frustration and passion for the club. He suggested that such discussions should occur behind closed doors but are a sign of the players' commitment to turning the situation around. Tielemans' own performances have been underwhelming this season, making his upcoming games crucial.
