From the source

FC Magdeburg might have suffered a 6–1 defeat against Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal, but the visitors left with their heads held high after giving the German giants a genuine challenge in the first half.

For striker Barış Artik, the missed opportunity to equalize before the break proved particularly costly. Nevertheless, he was proud of the way Magdeburg approached the occasion, refusing to abandon their footballing identity despite facing one of Europe’s most formidable teams.

“I think scoring the equalizer before halftime would have been extremely helpful. Nevertheless, we played some good football and didn’t hide. We played out from the back and wanted to show the fans here in such a stadium that we have Magdeburg DNA.
