Liverpool's recent performance has been encouraging, with a 2-0 win over Brighton showcasing the team's aggression and defensive capabilities, according to Anfield Agenda. The team's duel success rate was 56.7%, the highest of the season so far. Ronald Araújo's commitment and aggression were notable, with Virgil van Dijk praising his performance. The win demonstrated the team's ability to keep a clean sheet and defend effectively.
Anfield Agenda suggests that Liverpool should consider making Araújo's loan permanent due to his impressive performances, exercising a reported £47 million purchase option. Araújo has shown the aggression and commitment expected by the Liverpool crowd, and the columnist is impressed by his quick adaptation to the team. The columnist believes Araújo belongs at Liverpool, whether at right-back or centre-back.
The columnist also highlights the need for Liverpool to strengthen their squad, particularly in midfield, and to keep key players like Alexis Mac Allister. Mac Allister has shown improved form and leadership this season, and the columnist believes reopening contract discussions would be sensible. The columnist also suggests that the team needs another defensive midfielder and a long-term solution at right-back.

Source context
I’m starting to get excited about this Liverpool team again. Four wins on the bounce, a 2-0 victory over a Brighton side who arrived at Anfield in excellent form, and signs that Andoni Iraola is beginning to get his ideas across. There’s still plenty of work to do, and I’m certainly not getting carried away with talk of winning the Premier League. But we’re moving in the right direction. And after watching Ronald Araújo throw himself into challenges like his life depended on it, Alexis Mac Allister continue his resurgence and Alexander Isak put another goal away, I keep coming back to one thought.
