Didier Deschamps is ‘not particularly keen’ on the Manchester United job amid reports the former France manager has been approached about the role. Deschamps is weighing up his options after leaving his position as France manager, following the 2026 World Cup.
The 58-year-old spent 14 years in charge of the national team, leading Les Bleus to World Cup success in 2018 and reaching the finals of Euro 2016 and the 2022 World Cup.
He has been identified as a potential candidate to replace Michael Carrick at Old Trafford, despite having not worked in club football since 2012. However, FootMercato report that Deschamps has doubts about the move, given Manchester United’s ‘ongoing instability, fan discontent, and transfer issues’.
